This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaking it may result in your account being suspended or closed.
The rules are short because most of them are obvious. The two that are easiest to break by accident are at the top.
1. Only upload photographs of yourself
Do not upload a photograph of anyone else. Not a friend, not a partner, not a family member, not a child, not a celebrity, not a face you found online.
A photograph of someone else's face, analysed for skin condition, is that person's health data. Neither you nor we have any right to process it without their explicit permission, and we cannot obtain that permission through you.
If we find photographs of other people in an account, we will delete them and may suspend the account.
2. Do not use Plumped for anyone under 16
Do not scan a child's face, create an account for a child, or use your account on a child's behalf. See the Children and Age Policy.
3. General conduct
You must not:
- use Plumped for any unlawful purpose, or to break any law that applies to you;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your connection with any person or organisation;
- create an account using someone else's details, or create multiple accounts to evade a suspension;
- upload anything illegal, abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or sexual;
- upload anything containing malware, or anything designed to damage or disrupt software or hardware;
- upload someone else's personal data;
- upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark or other rights.
4. Technical restrictions
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, spider or bulk-extract data from the Service by any means;
- use a bot, script or automated system to access the Service, except a standard search engine crawler obeying our robots file;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems, or breach any security or authentication measure, other than in accordance with our Responsible Disclosure Policy;
- circumvent rate limits, quotas, paywalls or access controls;
- interfere with the Service or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- access the Service in order to build a competing product, or to train a machine learning model;
- resell, redistribute or commercially exploit any part of the Service or the data in it.
5. Product and ingredient data
The ingredient, compatibility and product information in Plumped is provided for your personal use. You must not extract it, republish it, or incorporate it into another product or dataset.
6. Community features
Plumped does not currently offer community, comment, messaging or sharing features. When it does, the following rules will apply in addition to everything above.
You must not post content that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or targets another person;
- promotes self-harm, disordered eating, or unhealthy body image;
- gives medical advice, or presents itself as coming from a medical professional when it does not;
- promotes prescription-only medicines, illegal products, or counterfeit cosmetics;
- makes claims about treating or curing a condition;
- advertises, spams, or promotes a commercial interest without disclosing it;
- shares another person's photograph or personal information without their permission;
- shares your own or anyone else's intimate images.
Sharing before and after photographs of your own face is allowed once community features exist and you have chosen to opt in. It is always your choice, always off by default, and always reversible.
7. Reporting a problem
If you see something that breaks this policy, tell us at contact@plumped.co.uk. Include enough detail that we can find it.
For a security vulnerability, use the Responsible Disclosure Policy instead.
8. What we do about breaches
Depending on what happened and how serious it is, we may:
- remove the content;
- issue a warning;
- restrict a feature on your account;
- suspend your account;
- close your account permanently;
- report the matter to the police or another authority where the law requires it or where someone is at risk.
Unless the breach is serious, urgent, or legally requires immediate action, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right before we suspend or close your account.
9. Appealing a decision
If we suspend or close your account and you believe we were wrong, email contact@plumped.co.uk with the account email address and an explanation. A person will review it and reply within 14 days. If we got it wrong, we will reinstate the account.
